About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant Rainier Valley, Thien Phat is a must-visit Vietnamese restaurant that delivers an authentic taste of Vietnam with every bite. Renowned for its diverse and exquisite menu, Thien Phat offers a culinary journey that celebrates traditional flavors with a modern touch, making it an ideal destination for both longtime fans of Vietnamese cuisine and curious newcomers.

At Thien Phat, each dish bursts with vibrant aromas and layered textures that entice your senses from the moment it arrives at the table. Their signature Pho 27 Brisket Steak Meatballs is a standout — a fragrant, soul-warming broth teeming with tender brisket and perfectly spiced meatballs that melt in your mouth. Equally compelling are dishes like the Bun Cha Gio Bo Nem Nuong, a vermicelli noodle bowl featuring stir-fried beef alongside grilled meatballs and crispy eggrolls, delivering a harmonious blend of savory, smoky, and fresh notes.

One cannot overlook the playful complexity of the Grilled Pork Bahn Mi, a Vietnamese classic elevated with succulent, marinated pork, crisp vegetables, and just the right kick from fresh herbs and chili. The menu also highlights light yet bold options such as the Papaya Salad bursting with sweet and tangy freshness, and the Lemon Grass Beef, which combines fragrant layers of lemongrass with tender beef slices.

Thien Phat’s appetizer selection is equally tempting. From the golden, crunchy Cha Gio deep-fried chicken egg rolls to the delicate Goi Cuon Tom Thit fresh spring rolls wrapped tightly with shrimp and pork, every starter sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. Those seeking to sample a variety of flavors can indulge in the Sampler Plate, a beautifully arranged offering that captures the essence of their kitchen specialties.

The dining atmosphere complements the food beautifully – clean, spacious, and air-conditioned, it offers a comfortable setting where attentive service adds warmth without rushing your experience. Customers frequently praise the friendly and efficient staff; as one regular, Lourienne Dupaya, notes, even when visiting with large groups, service remains swift and attentive, ensuring both quality and satisfaction.

What makes Thien Phat truly compelling is its ability to balance authenticity with accessibility. Whether you’re craving the hearty, rich flavors of a well-crafted pho or the fresh, zesty crunch of their salads like the Goi Vit Duck Salad or Goi Slen Tom Thit jellyfish salad, each dish feels thoughtfully prepared to highlight the best of Vietnamese culinary traditions. Another diner, Mai-Ly Andersen, raves about the Bò Sa Tế, a unique pho and curry hybrid that delights with its spicy complexity.

Whether you are stopping by for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner with friends, Thien Phat offers a genuine Vietnamese dining experience that feels both vibrant and comforting. This is a place where rich culinary heritage meets modern-day Seattle, promising every guest flavorful satisfaction that invites return visits time and again.

We've been going to this restaurant for years! The food stays delicious. The only things that have changed are their servings and prices, which is to be expected with Seattle. However, it's still reasonable that we keep coming back. We often go with a group of 7 or more people, but their service stays quick without taking away from the quality of their food. We've memorized the menu by now! I recommend their broken rice dishes.

I was going to buy a teriyaki next door but it was closed so I decided to check this place out. I ordered the grilled chicken with rice and it was delicious. I also ordered the tofu banh mi and it was better than Saigon deli in my opinion. I will go back again to try other food.

Edit: came back again and tried the Bò Sa Tế (not pictured) per waitress recommendation… this was insane! Pho and viet curry hybrid. Amazing meal. Original review: Great portions and flavor!

Awesome tasting food and service! Meal started out with a flavorful tea. I ordered I believe the Five Spice Chicken (official name may be slightly off). It wasn't hot spicy but a great mix of cinnamon and other spices. My BF ordered the Rice Porridge. It was great as well with a kick of ginger. On the side we had spring rolls that were the biggest I've seen. Service was friendly as well. I'd visit over and over.
